Man Squirms Out Of Handcuffs, Escapes NYPD In Brooklyn: Cops
Joseph King, 21, remains on the loose after he escaped police booking Monday and ran into a busy subway station, authorities said.

NEW YORK CITY — A man escaped the NYPD by squirming out of handcuffs and running into a busy Brooklyn subway station Monday, police said.
Joseph King, 21, remained on the loose Tuesday morning, NYPD officials told Patch.
The breakout unfolded about 5:45 p.m. as King — who awaited arraignment on assault and grand larceny charges — walked into the NYPD's Brooklyn Central Booking on Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.

King, who weighs 145 pounds, managed to free a hand from his handcuffs and run from police, authorities said. He ran into the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station, where cops lost track of him, police said.
NYPD officials released a photograph apparently taken during the escape as it shows a man running with a handcuff on his wrist.

King, who is from Canarsie, is wanted by the NYPD. He stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall and has black hair, brown eyes, a tattoo of "E4M" on his neck, police said.
