Fort Greene Teen Tortures Man Who Responded To Online Sex Ad, DA Says
The 59-year-old man had bleach thrown in his face before he was beaten and burnt, according to Queens prosecutors.
NEW YORK CITY — A hotel rendezvous with a woman of the night turned into a "Saw" film for a Queens man who was captured, tortured and robbed by a Fort Greene teen and her accomplice, prosecutors said.
Destiny Lebron, 19, and Gil Iphael, 22, stand accused of kidnapping a man they lured to a Queens hotel with an online prostitution ad earlier this month, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Thursday.
“The defendants pounced on the unsuspecting man, held him against his will and severely beat and terrorized him over several hours,” Katz said. “This kind of lawlessness is inexcusable and will not be tolerated.”

Judah Maltz, the defense attorney for the suspects, declined to comment beyond saying he will be in court Sept. 13.
The pair lured and attacked the 59-year-old man to a Queens hotel — which the New York Post reported to be the Hotel Ninety Five on 95th Avenue in Jamaica — on Aug. 6, prosecutors said.

Lebron, of Fort Greene, got the man to undress then threw bleach in his face and opened the door for Iphael, a Valley Stream resident, who threw a blanket over his head, punched him and stole his car keys, phone and wallet, said prosecutors.
Iphael told the man to unlock the phone and burned him with a curling iron until he complied, prosecutors said.
Lebron and Iphael then tried to transfer money from his bank account electronically and made several trips to the ATM, all as the 59-year-old remained bound, according to the Queens District Attorney's office.
Katz’s office did not disclose how much money was stolen or how much the 59-year-old paid Lebron before the attack.
“Both defendants are in custody and face very serious charges,” Katz said of the suspects, who were arrested Wednesday.
Lebron and Iphael could spend up to 25 years in prison if convicted of 22 criminal charges that include assault, robbery and kidnapping, prosecutors said.
