Mother’s Day 2023 Brunch: Reserve Now In NYC

The New York City brunch is the perfect way to show Mom you love her, but don't waste time making reservations.

Mother's Day falls on Sunday, May 14, this year. So, time is short.

Luckily, there are more than a few options for brunch in the city. Here's a smattering of just five restaurants offering special Mother's Day celebrations.

• Broadway Lounge, 1535 Broadway inside the New York Marriott Marquis, Manhattan. For $99, dazzle your mother with a brunch buffet with “salad station, carving station, crispy bacon, french toast, pancakes, egg white frittata, glazed spiral ham, roasted prime rib and more.” Click here for more information.
• Ophelia, 3 Mitchell Pl., Manhattan. A $59 ticket gets you and your mother atop the Beekman Tower for a brunch with savory and sweet menus. Find out more here.
• Charlie Palmer Steak NYC, 135 W. 42nd St., Manhattan. Grab a three-course brunch offering “CP Chicken & Waffles, Lobster Scrambled Eggs and Steak & Eggs” for $95. Reserve here.
• Antica Pesa Brooklyn, 115 Berry St., Brooklyn. This Italian spot is offering a three-course menu on Mother’s Day for $80. Find out more here.

Several chain restaurants and other eateries are open for Mother’s Day this year, and some are offering specials.

Below are a few options to get you started, featuring everything from casual to fine dining. As always, it’s advisable to call ahead to make sure the restaurants are participating and check for any limitations.

• Applebee’s is adding a $10 bonus card to the purchase of a $50 gift card for Mother’s Day and other special occasions, including graduations and Father’s Day.
• The Capital Grille opens early for Mother’s Day brunch, with seating available starting at 10 a.m. Be sure to make a reservation. The restaurant included a “polite notice” on its reservations page stating that “to better deliver on our promise of a refined atmosphere, proper dress is required.” That excludes gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, and exposed undergarments.
• Fogo de Chão Brazilian steakhouse is offering a ready-to-reheat Mother’s Day Celebration Package that feeds six and features a choice of fire-roasted meats, sides and dessert. Meals should be ordered at least 24 hours in advance and are available for pickup or delivery all day May 10-13, and by 10:30 a.m. on May 14.
• Kona Grill offers a weekend brunch special with deals on mimosas and signature brunch dishes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, including Mother’s Day.
• Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is opening early both May 13-14 for brunch and also has a prix fixe menu for dinner.
