MoviePass Price Drops Again: Unlimited Films Now Under $7 Monthly
The service that lets users watch unlimited movies for a flat fee now costs $7 per month if users sign up for a yearly plan.

MoviePass, the subscription based service that lets users watch unlimited movies in theaters across the U.S. for a monthly fee, slashed its prices even further on Friday and is now offering the service at a rate of $6.95 per month if users opt for a one year subscription plan.
The company said on Friday that the one year subscription plan is available for a flat fee of $89.95 plus a $6.55 processing fee. The plan is also available to current subscribers paying $9.95 per month and the company says they will receive 25 percent in savings if they switch to the one year service.
The new one year plan is only available for a limited time though the company did not say how long the offer stands. In August, MoviePass said it was slashing its prices to $9.95 a month and consumers rushing to get their passes crashed the MoviePass app and website.

A monthly subscription to MoviePass used to cost between $15 and $50 per month, depending on where you lived and how expensive box office prices were in your town, the Verge reported.
According to TechCrunch, as of October, MoviePass had grown to over 600,000 subscribers and while the company is not profitable, a major investment from data firm Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. has allowed the company to subsidize costs and grow subscribers.
