New York Daily News Editor Investigated For Harassment: Report
Robert Moore, the paper's managing editor, has been accused of creating a sexualized atmosphere, NPR reported.

NEW YORK, NY — A senior editor of the New York Daily News is under investigation after accusations he sexually harassed employees, NPR reported Monday night. Tronc, the paper's new parent company, confirmed to the radio station that it started investigating complaints against managing editor Robert Moore.
Moore allegedly created a "sexualized atmosphere" in the newsroom, harassing women who worked there and punishing those who didn't give him what he wanted, NPR reported, citing accounts from five people who worked for Moore.
Tronc's investigation is reportedly based on a complaint filed in December against Moore, who stood in as the top Daily News editor when Editor-in-Chief Arthur Browne retired at the end of last month. Tronc named Jim Kirk interim Editor-in-Chief on January 18.

Tronc did not say whether Moore will remain doing his job during the probe, NPR reported. Patch has reached out to Tronc for comment.
Tronc, the media giant that also owns the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, bought the Daily News in September. Another top Tronc figure, Los Angeles Times publisher Ross Levinsohn, is facing an internal investigation after NPR reported last week that he was sued for sexual harassment in past jobs.
