New York Deemed Most Vulnerable City In US For Coastal Flooding
The majority of the other cities at risk were in Florida.

NEW YORK, NY – New York City is the most vulnerable urban coastal area in the nation for flooding – and it's going to get worse.
The ranking comes from an analysis by Climate Central which compared coastal cities with populations of 20,000 or greater. The majority of the other cities that Climate Central deemed most vulnerable to coastal flooding today were in Florida.
Miami ranked second and was followed by Pembroke Pines. The two other cities that made the list and were not located in Florida were Charleston, South Carolina (15) and Atlantic City, New Jersey (23). A total of 25 cities were on the list.

Looking ahead to 2050, New York City is expected to still rank most vulnerable to coastal flooding. Climate Central reranked cities based on which have the largest populations in expanded areas that could be threatened due to rising sea levels.
