Cool Sips Brings Its Halloween-Themed Mad Scientist Soda Lab To NYC: See Here

NEW YORK CITY — Cool Sips, New York City’s first standalone "dirty soda" concept, is asking customers to play Mad Scientist during the Halloween season with its ongoing "Mad Scientist Soda Lab" pop-up.

The two-week activation gives guests the opportunity to customize their own colorful concoctions using Cool Sips’ dirty sodas. Guest can use a lab-style check sheet with mix-ins and syrups to make Halloween themed drinks sporting colors like bright green, purple, and orange.

Cool Sips’ Mad Scientist Soda Lab transforms its SoHo and Upper East Side locations with beakers, bubbling syrups, test tubes, and a photo wall capturing the best costumes and creations all season long.

Andrew Moger, founder of Cool Sips, told Patch, that the two-week Halloween event allows them to showcase their customizable drinks while also putting a fun holiday spin for guests.

"It's the same experience that a guest gets anytime they come in, but what's really fun about this is that they get to come in, and they get to make drinks a little more interactively," Moger said.

"Guest can have fun creating their own Halloween concoctions."

Moger added that guests have really enjoyed The Mad Scientist Soda Lab pop-up so far.

"It's been really well received and for us, it's about introducing the brand in a fun way," he said.

According to Moger, The Mad Scientist Soda Lab and other future holidays are a way Cool Sips can flex "their creative muscles."

This past summer, Cool Sips teamed up with soda brand poppi to debut a trio of limited-edition drinks.

The collaboration marks Cool Sips' first partnership with a national brand since launching in March 2024. The brand has four locations in New York City.

Guest can experience The Mad Scientist Soda Lab at Cool Sips' locations in SoHo at 156 Sullivan St and in the Upper East Side at 1218 Lexington Ave. through November 2.
