NYC Carjacker Stole Minivan With Baby In Back Seat: Police
The suspect stole a 2000 Chrysler minivan at the corner of East 46th Street and Third Avenue, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A carjacker who stole a minivan with a 6-month-old baby inside Sunday is in custody, police officials said.
At around 11:30 a.m., the unknown man stole a 2000 Chrysler minivan at the corner of East 46th Street and Third Avenue and sped off with the child in the back seat, NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry said on X.
Thirty minutes later, Daughtry provided an update detailing the suspect's arrest:

That’s to the public’s assistance and the great work by the men and women of NYPD, the 6-month-old has been found safe and a suspect has been taken into custody,” he wrote.
It is unknown, at this time, if the suspect has been formally charged in the incident.

The carjacker was apparently arrested walking down East 140th Street, according to the New York Post.
