Is This NYC Bus Driving Around Chicago Lost?
No, the MTA isn't expanding service to the Windy City.

NEW YORK CITY — A New York City bus was spotted driving along a surprising route: a highway in Chicago.
The wayward bus inspired a Reddit post by user quwerty77, who shared of a photo of its out-of-place voyage. The bus was driving along I-90/I-94 — or the Kennedy Expressway, in Windy City parlance — in Chicago this weekend, according to the post.
The surprising sight quickly drew jokes from Reddit users about the quality of Chicago Transit Authority service versus New York's own MTA.

Another New Yorker joked they knew where the bus came from.

"So that’s where my B15 bus to JFK went. Dammit," they posted.
So, what was a New York City bus doing in Chicago? Was it lost? Is the MTA considering a major new expansion?
No, say MTA officials.
The bus instead was being delivered from one of the MTA's bus manufacturers, officials told Patch.
The MTA's bus manufacturers have locations in Saint Cloud, Minnesota and Plattsburgh, New York, officials said.
Officials said buses have to be delivered to New York City and, to do so, they do what buses do best: drive.
So, no, Reddit user Unlucky_Lou, the bus wasn't in Chicago on a food tour.
"We came to try deep dish pizza," Unlucky_Lou posted.
