NEW YORK CITY — A Brooklyn man's homemade vape cartridges are believed to have sparked a house fire that killed his wife and teen daughter, according to a report.

The suspected accidental fire early Tuesday tore through a Fountain Avenue home in Cypress Hills, leaving a woman, 36, and her daughter, 17, dead, and several other family members injured, the New York Post first reported.

Among the injured was the man, who authorities believe had unintentionally ignited the blaze when his homemade vapes somehow caught fire, the Post reported. The man was seen running from the burning home with his arms on fire before he tried to go back inside, according to the report.
