NYC Snow Totals By Neighborhood

Some parts of the city saw more than half a foot of snow.

NEW YORK, NY – March may have gone out like a lamb, but April rushed in like a wild beast. After a weekend of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s, New Yorkers woke Monday to deep snow.

In some parts of the city, as much as 6.5 inches of snow fell during the morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Warm temperatures were helping to clear the snow quickly and New York City schools are on spring break, meaning the decision to open or close didn't have to be made.

And, though after this winter it's hard to believe, no more snow is in the forecast at the moment. In fact, temperatures are expected to reach 63 degrees on Wednesday.
