Gusts as strong as 60 MPH will threaten the entire tri-state area Thursday, leading the National Weather Service to issue a high wind warning that lasts until 6 p.m.

The wind has already started kicking in the city — Breezy Point, Queens saw a 76 MPH gust late Wednesday night, and a 55 MPH blast was recorded at LaGuardia Airport, according to the weather service.
