NYC Weather: 80-Degree Highs Hit Forecast, But Only After Weekend

NEW YORK CITY — A blast of summery heat is heading to New York City — but only after a superlative spring weekend.

New Yorkers will see sunny skies, highs near 70 degrees and potentially even some April showers over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

Saturday will be cooler — 60 degrees — while Sunday will warm up after some potential overnight rain, the forecast states.

And the weather will keep warming up after New Yorkers go back to work.

"Partly sunny, with a high near 82," Monday's forecast states.

The 80-degree highs will fade following Monday, but give way to 70-degree temperatures throughout next week, the forecast states.
