NYC Weather: Cool, Sunny Weekend Before Temps Warm Up Again

Might want to pull out a sweater — highs in the upper 60s are expected Friday and Saturday.

NEW YORK — Wear some layers while you can. Crisp fall weather will sweep over New York City this weekend before temperatures warm up again next week, the National Weather Service says.

Sunshine and seasonably cool highs around the upper 60s are expected for Friday and Saturday following a relatively warm and sometimes rainy week, the forecast shows. The low temperature will dip into the 50s Friday night, the weather service says.

Sunday will be significantly warmer with a high near 77 — about 10 degrees warmer than normal, the forecast shows. Similar temperatures are expected into next week.

New Yorkers won't have to worry about bringing an umbrella to brunch this weekend — there's not a chance of rain in sight until Monday, according to the weather service.
