NYC Weather Forecast: 11 Inches Of Snow Possible As Storm Worsens
Here's how much snow your borough will get.

NEW YORK, NY — The nor'easter hovering over New York City could drop as much as 11 inches of snow on parts of the five boroughs Wednesday, the latest National Weather Service estimates show. Northern parts of the city are expected to be hit hardest — the Bronx and Manhattan, along with Westchester County, will see seven to 11 inches of accumultion, the NWS predicts.
The snow will start falling in earnest after 9 a.m. and continue through Wednesday night, the weather service says. The city is under a winter storm warning until 4 a.m. Thursday.
The heaviest snow will come in the afternoon through the early evening, according to the NWS — 5.1 inches are expected to fall in Manhattan from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

How much snow you'll see will depend on where you are. Central Park is expected to get nine inches, though there's a chance it could see up to 14 inches. Five to nine inches are likely to hit Brooklyn, northern Queens and Staten Island, the NWS says.
Just six inches are expected at John F. Kennedy Airport in southern Queens, an area that's likely to see four to seven inches of accumulation. That hasn't stopped airlines from canceling hundreds of flights out of JFK.

The snow will make for rough travel in the city no matter where you're going, officials say. The Office of Emergency Management has issued a hazardous travel advisory for Wednesday, warning of heavy snow during the evening commute.
"Mother nature’s March madness continues as another nor’easter is forecast to bring snow that will make travel dangerouson Wednesday," Emergency Management Commissioner Joseph Esposito said in a statement. "New Yorkers should take mass transit if possible and allow for extra travel time."
MTA Chairman Joe Lhota on Tuesday said to expect service changes and delays on city subways and buses due to the snow. Alternate-side parking rules are suspended Wednesday and Thursday.
