NYC Weather Forecast: Another Storm Could Spoil Sunny Week
There's a chance rain could return on Tuesday.

NEW YORK, NY — The rain's gone for now, but not for long. Showers and a possible thunderstorm could interrupt an otherwise sunny week in New York City, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
Rain is most likely to roll in on a cloudy and cool Tuesday afternoon following a sunny Monday with a high temperature near 77 degrees, the forecast says.
"Chances for rain will increase late tonight and Tuesday morning, becoming likely with the possibility of a few rumbles of thunder during the afternoon and evening as a warm front lifts through," the weather service said in a statement Monday.

The thunder could show up from late Tuesday afternoon to early Wednesday morning, the forecast shows. The showers are expected to wane Wednesday morning before the sun returns and the mercury rises to a high near 79 that day, the NWS says.
The rest of the week will bring sunshine and highs in the 70s ahead of Memorial Day weekend, the weather service says.
