NYC Weather Forecast: Another Storm Looms After Sunny Weekend

Snow and rain could hit the city again early next week.

NEW YORK, NY — There are less than two weeks until spring, but winter isn't letting New York City out of the woods. Another winter storm is set to bring snow and rain to the city early next week after a weekend of sunshine, forecasters say.

A storm making its way over the Southeast this weekend may veer up the East Coast early next week, meaning heavy winds, rain and snow would hit the five boroughs, according to AccuWeather.

The storm could take a different path out into the Atlantic Ocean, which would have little to no impact on the coast, AccuWeather says. The National Weather Service says there's a 40 percent chance of rain and snow on Monday.

"During early next week, the storm will reach the southern Atlantic coast and may continue to head eastward and well out to sea or may reorganize, strengthen and turn northward," Dan Pydynowski, an AccuWeather senior meteorologist, told the website.

Whatever path it takes, the storm will follow a weekend of sunshine and high temperatures in the mid-40s, the National Weather Service says. Saturday could be a bit breezier than Sunday, with sustained winds up to 13 MPH.
