NYC Weather Forecast: Chill To Follow Spring-Like Temps
Tuesday could bring a high of 57 and a thunderstorm.

NEW YORK, NY — New York City will continue to see spring-like warmth early this week before temperatures drop back to wintry levels. The weekend's unseasonably high temperatures will continue into Tuesday, when it will get as warm as 57 degrees, the National Weather Service says.
Monday will be cooler, with a high around 49 and a slight chance of of a drizzle throughout the day. Fog is also expected late Monday night.
The warm front moving into the area will raise temperatures on Tuesday and drop up to three quarters of an inch of rain on the city. Expect showers throughout the day Tuesday and a potential thunderstorm after 3 p.m.

Temperatures will return to seasonable levels Wednesday with an expected high of 41 before chilling again at the end of the week. Clear skies and highs in the mid- to upper 30s are expected Thursday and Friday.

Patchy drizzle with a slight chance of rain before midnight, then showers likely, mainly after 3am. Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 44. East wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3pm, then a chance of showers. High near 57. South wind 11 to 16 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
