NYC Weather Forecast: Weekend Threatens 120 Year Old Cold Record
Saturday is going to be the coldest yet during the recent freeze.
NEW YORK, NY – You've seen nothing yet. Freezing temperatures in New York City are set to dip so low tomorrow that they'll threaten a record cold for the day that's stood for more than 120 years.
Forecasters are predicting the freeze to reach 3 degrees on Saturday, according to Accuweather. That's a brutal chill that is life threatening. At those temperatures, frostbite can occur within minutes and hypothermia is a very real risk, the city warned.
With wind chill, the freeze could reach -20 degrees.
