NYC Weather Forecast: Flooding Possible As Heavy Rain Continues

NEW YORK, NY – In case you haven't noticed, the weather Sunday is atrocious – and it's not expected to improve any time soon. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the city, warning of flooding.

The forecasters also said that fog is likely Sunday afternoon into the evening, with visibility down to less than a quarter of a mile.

Sunday
Periods of rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Patchy fog. High near 51. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday Night
Periods of rain, mainly before 1am. Areas of dense fog before 1am. Low around 40. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday
Partly sunny, with a steady temperature around 41. Northwest wind around 8 mph.

Monday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 39. North wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.

Tuesday Night
A chance of snow before 3am, then a chance of rain and snow between 3am and 4am, then a chance of rain after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
