NYC Weather Forecast: Fog, Rain Make For Miserable Commute

A thunderstorm is possible Tuesday afternoon.

NEW YORK, NY — Fog and rain will create a dreary Tuesday morning before a possible thunderstorm lands in New York City in the afternoon. Dense fog could limit visibility to as little as a quarter mile in some parts of the metro area, the National Weather Service warns.

"Motorist(s) should be on the lookout for rapidly changing visibilities," the weather service said in a statement Tuesday morning. "If reduced visibilities are encountered, reduce to a safe speed and use low beam headlights."

Winds as strong as 21 MPH could add to the commuting struggle, the weather service says.
