NYC Weather Forecast: June Gets Off To Chilly, Rainy Start
Temperatures will be unusually cool in the first part of the week.
NEW YORK, NY — You may want to fish a light jacket out of your closet. Unseasonably cool temperatures and rain will kick off the first full week of June in New York City, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
A high temperature near 67 degrees is expected Monday, nine degrees cooler than normal for this time of year. There's a slight chance of showers into the afternoon and evening before the temperature drops to a low around 60 degrees, the forecast says.
A chance of thunderstorms will loom Tuesday afternoon and evening as the temperature rises a more normal high near 74, the weather service says.

The mercury will drop again to a high near 66 — 11 degrees below normal — on Wednesday, when partly sunny skies are expected to mix with a chance of showers, the forecast shows.
Things will warm up again Thursday and Friday with sunny skies and highs in the 70s, the forecast says.
