NYC Weather Forecast: Latest Nor'easter Approaches

Forecasters are watching yet another storm that could bring rain and snow to the city.

NEW YORK, NY – The third nor'easter in just over a week could hit New York City Monday, though forecasters are hopeful it's tracking out to sea and could give the recently battered region a break.

Snow and rain has the potential to stretch into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

But early predictions are that the path of the latest storm will keep the city out of its crosshairs.

"At this time, we feel there is a better than 50/50 percent chance the worst of the storm will stay to the south and east of New York City," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek said Saturday. "A light amount of snow [and rain] cannot be ruled out with roads [expected to stay] mainly wet."

But he added, ""It is still too early to totally write the storm off for the Northeast."
