NYC Weather Forecast: Nor'easter To Slam Already Drenched City
The storm could bring high winds and flash floods to the five boroughs.

NEW YORK, NY — The break from the rain won't last long. A nor'easter will slam New York City at the end of the week, bringing winds and possible flooding to follow clear skies and warm temperatures, forecasters say.
The storm will form over the southern U.S. and head toward the Northeast through the middle of this week, according to AccuWeather. Rain is expected to hit the New York City area sometime after noon Thursday and continue throughout the day Friday, the National Weather Service predicts, getting the weekend off to a gloomy start.
The storm could bring up to two inches of rain and "strong to damaging" winds to the metropolitan area, the National Weather Service says. The weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook warning of possibl coastal flooding from late Thursday into the weekend.

You'll probably want an umbrella and some waterproof shoes for Friday's commute. The wet weather will accompany a high of 42 degrees Friday, more than 10 degrees cooler than the balmy temperatures that started the week.
Sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s are expected Tuesday through Wednesday, giving New Yorkers a brief break from the rain that soaked the city last the weekend.
