NYC Weather Forecast: Record Highs Could Give Taste Of Summer
The mercury could hit a record-breaking 70 degrees Wednesday, making it the warmest day of the year so far.

NEW YORK, NY — It would be hard to guess from this week's forecast that New York City saw a snowstorm a few days ago. The warmest day of the year so far is expected Wednesday, when a predicted 70-degree high could set a new record, the National Weather Service said.
Wednesday could be the warmest Feb. 21 since 1930, when the previous record of 68 degrees was set, according to National Weather Service records.
The warmth is typical for early May, the weather service says. Some showers are possible in the morning and late at night, but the sun will be out otherwise.

Tuesday won't quite set a record, but it'll get close — the predicted high of 65 degrees comes just shy of the 69-degree temperatures seen on Feb. 20, 1939.
On Tuesday, the New York City area is under a fog advisory until 10 a.m., so be careful on the roads if you're driving.

The warm weather follows a Saturday night snowstorm that brought several inches of snow to the five boroughs.
This week will end with cooler temperatures in the mid-40s and possible rain on Thursday and Friday. Things will get a bit warmer over the weekend, but the chance of rain will remain.
