NYC Weather Forecast: Sunshine Makes For Warm Weekend

Unusually cool temperatures are giving way to warm, sunny skies.

NEW YORK, NY — Put that jacket back in the closet. Warm early June temperatures will return as the sun shines over New York City this weekend, the latest National Weather Service forecast shows.

Friday will bring sunny skies and a light breeze with a high temperature near 80 degrees, the forecast says, warmer than the unseasonably cool highs in the low 70s that came earlier this week.

Sunshine will stick around during the day Saturday, bringing the high up near 78 before a chance of showers looms in the evening, the weather service says.
