NYC Weather Forecast: T-Shirt Weather Set To Finally Arrive

Put your coats away — temperatures will get into the 80s this week.

NEW YORK, NY — Time to put away those sweaters. New Yorkers can finally break out their T-shirts this week as temperatures reach into the 80s after a cold, wet and even snowy April, the latest National Weather forecast shows.

The week got off to a chilly, drizzly start on Monday. But Tuesday will bring plenty of sunshine and a high near 75 degrees, the NWS forecast shows — well above the normal May 1 high of 67.

The warmth will stick around — highs near 83 and 85 are expected for Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Friday will bring a high near 79 along with another chance of showers, but the skies will be mostly clear otherwise, the forecast shows.
