NYC Weather Forecast: Weird Warmth, But More Snow On Way
Flakes could fall just days after a balmy, 55-degree Friday.

NEW YORK, NY — New Yorkers are getting a break from winter weather — but it won't last long. There's a chance snow could hit on Tuesday, just days after the city sees toasty 55-degree temperatures on Friday, the latest National Weather Service forecast says.
The city can expect two straight days with temperatures reaching the 50s — a week after a massive "bomb cyclone" snow storm brought loads of snow and bitter cold to the Northeast.
Snow is on its way back, though. The weather service predicts a 30 percent chance of flakes on Jan. 16, when the high will drop to 32 degrees.

That will follow a chilly weekend, with a projected high of 31 degrees on Sunday and 28 degrees for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
This week's warm days are also expected to be wet ones. There's a 90 percent chance of rain on Friday that will likely continue falling into Saturday morning, the weather service says.
