NYC Weather Forecast: Winter Weather Advisory Out For New Storm
The third storm to hit the city in two weeks is on its way.

NEW YORK, NY — The third storm to hit New York City in two weeks will drop up to four inches of snow on the five boroughs by Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service. The city will be under a winter weather advisory from 8 p.m. Monday until noon Tuesday.
The snow will start Monday evening and continue through early Tuesday evening, the latest NWS forecast shows, with the heaviest snowfall starting early Tuesday morning. Two-to-four inches are expected to fall throughout the city. The National Weather Service warns of reduced visibility and "slippery road conditions" for the Tuesday morning commute.
The low temperature will sink to the mid-30s Monday night, with winds making the air feel as cold as 20 degrees in some areas, the NWS says. Highs will reach the low 40s on Wednesday, but winds with gusts as strong as 32 MPH at John F. Kennedy Airport will make it feel as cold as 20 degrees.

New York City will avoid the worst of the storm, which is expected to bring blizzard conditions to parts of New England, accoring to AccuWeather.
But the situation could change with the storm's path. The entire tri-state area would see at least six inches of snow if the path shifts 50 miles further toward the East Coast, the NWS says, while less snow would fall if it shifts further out to sea.

The new storm comes less than a week after last Wednesday's nor'easter covered the city in a few inches of snow while blanketing parts of New Jersey and Westchester County with two feet. That storm hit just five days after another powerful nor'easter battered the area with rain and heavy winds March 2.
