NYC Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued As Storm Approaches
Thunderstorms, up to half an inch of rain and strong winds are expected.

NEW YORK CITY – A hazardous weather outlook has been issued as a storm with strong winds and torrential rains approaches New York City.
Thunderstorms and winds as strong as 45 mph were just west of the city at 5 p.m. Saturday. Some of the thunderstorms could be severe, the National Weather Service said.
Up to half an inch of rain is possible. The storms are expected to weaken by 7 p.m.

A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. South wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 2am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Low around 54. Northwest wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday
A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 63. West wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
