NYC Weather: Highs Above 65 Degrees Could Break Decades-Old Records
Spring-like temperatures Wednesday are poised to surpass records set in 1950, forecasters said.

NEW YORK CITY — Forget Christmas in July — try springtime in January.
High temperatures Wednesday will hover near or surpass 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The heat won't just be unseasonable, it'll also potentially break records for Jan. 4 set back in 1950, forecasters said.

"These temperatures are expected to near or break record highs," the National Weather Service's New York office tweeted.
