NYC Winter Restaurant Week 2023 Is Coming: A Thrifty Guide

Mark your calendars, gourmands — Jan. 10 is when Restaurant Week reservations open to the general public.

NEW YORK CITY — Thrifty New York City gourmands' favorite month-long "week" so close they can almost taste it.

NYC Winter Restaurant Week 2023 is coming upstarting Jan. 17, the event's website states.

And, despite its name, the event lasts closer to a month as it ends Feb. 12.

"The program will offer prix-fixe menus starting at $30 at hundreds of participating restaurants and neighborhood favorites across the five boroughs," the website states.

When can I start making reservations?

First of all, reservations for the general public open Jan. 10. Check back at this site to make reservations.

But Mastercard holders have an early jump on things — starting Jan. 4 they could start reserving tables here. (They can also get a $10 statement credit: click here for more details.)

Can I see a list of participating restaurants?

Better bookmark this site — starting Jan. 10 it'll show menus.

When are the best deals?

Depends on how and when each restaurant participates.

Restaurants typically opt into meal periods from Monday through Friday, according to the event's site.

Saturdays are excluded from the program, while Sunday participation is optional.

"The Winter 2023 program features a trio of pricing options ($30, $45, $60), which restaurants may offer during meal periods of their choosing (lunch, dinner or both)," the website states.
