Photos: 'Magical' Rainbow Arcs Across Pink Sky During NYC Sunrise

"TASTE THE RAINBOW," one Twitter user posted as New Yorkers looked up and saw pot of gold in the sky Monday morning.

NEW YORK CITY — Magical. Radiant. Almost unreal.

New Yorkers used those words to describe a giant rainbow that arced through pink skies over the city Monday morning.

The candy-colored sky also evoked the (very apt) Skittles slogan for at least one riser.

"TASTE THE RAINBOW on this beautiful Monday Morning with pink skies and a giant rainbow blanketing NYC," tweeted @buckeyehunk, who posted photos of the morning miracle.

Other New Yorkers were also gracious enough to share pictures for those of us still sleeping off Thanksgiving turkey hangovers and missed the spectacle.

"Did everyone catch that radiant Manhattan rainbow this morning?" tweeted @MariaGarciaNYC. "A welcome sight after having to drag ourselves out of bed after a long weekend!"

"Magical," is also what Martina Pavlicova had to tweet.
