NEW YORK CITY-- The Metropolitan Museum of Art held the Met Gala Monday night, where stars climbed the blue carpeted stairs for fashion's biggest night out. The museum unveiled the Costume Institute's new exhibit, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" featuring Black designer's menswear and the ideology of dandyism.

Celebrities, models, athletes and musicians payed homage to the dandy aesthetic by sporting both tailored and deconstructed suits.

The night's most worn designers included Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton, Prada and Thom Browne. Many designers were predominantly inspired to create their own takes on on a dandy tailored suit.
