Pregnant Woman Stabbed, Baby Killed In The Bronx: NYPD

The woman is in critical condition and the baby she was carrying was pronounced dead, police said.

THE BRONX, NY — A stabbing in the Bronx left a pregnant woman critically wounded and her unborn baby dead Tuesday morning, police said. The woman, 30, had been stabbed several times in her torso when police responded to her Walton Avenue home in the South Bronx around 12:36 a.m., the NYPD said.

First-responders took the woman, who was 26 weeks pregnant, to Lincoln Hospital, where her fetus was pronounced dead, police said.

The woman was in critical condition as of Tuesday morning, the NYPD said. The crime is still under investigation and no one has been arrested.
