Rudy Giuliani Rants At Judge Over Defamation Payout, Trial Date
Giuliani has failed to give up nearly $11 million worth of personal assets as part of the $148 million he owes to two election workers.

NEW YORK CITY — Former New York City Rudy Giuliani had a heated exchange with a Manhattan judge on Tuesday over why he still hasn't handed over the title to his 1980 Mercedes convertible to two Georgia election workers he defamed after the 2020 presidential election.
In addition, to the vehicle title, Giuliani has failed to give up nearly $11 million worth of personal assets as part of the $148 million he owes to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, according to a New York Times report.
“The car without the keys and title is meaningless, Judge Lewis Liman told Giuliani.

"I have applied for the title,” the former mayor said. “I haven’t gotten it yet. What am I supposed to do, make it up myself?”
Giuliani told Liman that he doesn't have a car, a credit card, or cash as a result of the defamation case.

"Somebody has to tell the truth!” he added.
Before the proceedings on Tuesday, Liman allowed two of Giuliani’s lawyers —Kenneth Caruso and David Labkowski — to withdraw from the case, citing “professional ethics” concerns.
Giuliani on Tuesday was represented by Joseph M. Cammarata.
Liman also denied a request to delay the Jan. 16 trial date, so the former mayor could attend President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
Last week, Liman ordered Giuliani to hand over the remaining property to the two women by Dec. 13 or face penalties and jail time.
