Son Accused Of Killing Mom Inside NYC Apartment, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — A 41-year-old-man has been charged in connection with the death of a 76-year-old woman who was found unconscious in her Lower East Side apartment close to two weeks ago, police said on Wednesday.
Wei Hou has been charged with murder and is accused of killing his 76-year-old mother, identified as Zhu Hou.
Officers found the woman unresponsive with head trauma inside an apartment at 18 Monroe Street on Dec. 19. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 41-year-old was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Christmas Eve.
