Man Struck By Train In Grand Central: NYPD
A man, 47, fell off a subway platform and was struck by a 6 train Monday morning, causing "severe injuries" to his leg, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A man was struck by a 6 train inside Grand Central Terminal after he fell off a subway platform and onto the tracks, police said.
The 47-year-old man suffered “severe injuries” to his leg but is expected to recover in Bellevue Hospital from the Monday morning train strike, authorities said.
Another person was taken to New York-Presbyterian hospital for treatment of injuries, according to FDNY officials. Authorities did not reveal how exactly that person was injured.

The incident unfolded about 11:30 a.m., according to an MTA tweet.
Police told Patch that the man appeared to have fallen, rather than was pushed, onto the tracks.

Transit workers delayed trains while emergency teams responded to help the man, officials said.
Details were still scant shortly after, but MTA officials said the incident prompted changes for several subway lines. Trains headed south on the 4, 5 and 6 lines didn’t stop at Grand Central-42nd Street, according to the tweet.
