This Surprising Spot Has NYC's Biggest — And Cheapest — Condos: Study
Here's a hint: Pete Davidson.
NEW YORK CITY — What do New York City's best condo deals and Pete Davidson have in common? They're both on Staten Island.
The Forgotten Borough shouldn't be overlooked by city dwellers on the hunt for the elusive combo of condos with generous square footage as well as an affordable price, according to new PropertyShark study.
"The biggest surprise was delivered by Staten Island, which had the smallest median sale price at just $374,000, despite also boasting the largest median condo size at 1,047 square feet," the study states.

For comparison, the typical sale price for a New York City condo stood at $575,000 in 2023, the study found.
Condos in the city also have a median size of 921 square feet, according to the study.
The relatively spacious size for condo units compared to apartments — which are typically 600 square feet, the study states — makes them a potentially attractive option for New Yorkers looking beyond rental.
But the study found that condo sizes can vary widely between neighborhoods.
The Bronx had the smallest condo size at 769 square feet, followed by Queens' 809-square-foot median, according to the study.
But Queens also had more neighborhoods — five — in the top 10 with the smallest condos. Those are, according to the study:
Staten Island, however, couldn't keep Pete Davidson, despite its condo charisma.
The former "Saturday Night Live" star moved from his mother's basement to a $1.2 million condo in 2021, where he often shacked up with his girlfriend at the time, Kim Kardashian, the New York Post reported.
Davidson since moved out of Staten Island altogether by renting $30,000-a-month penthouse in Brooklyn Heights, Architectural Digest reported.
