NEW YORK CITY — A 25-year-old man has been taken into custody Tuesday in connection to the rape of a 13-year-old girl at a Queens park last week, authorities said.

Police identified the man as Christian Geovanny-Inga during a press conference Tuesday afternoon.

A 13-year-old boy and girl were at Kissena Park in Flushing at around 3:30 p.m. on June 13 when they were approached by Inga, police said.

The man then pulled out a knife and forced the 13-year-olds into a wooded area, where he took their cell phones and tied them up, police said.

Inga then raped the girl before fleeing the scene, police said.

Inga is facing rape, sex abuse and robbery charges, among others, Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
