NEW YORK CITY — Sen. Ted Cruz's trip to New York City has been a two-day-long Bronx cheer.

Yankees fans Sunday greeted Cruz with a chorus of boos, jeers and extended middle fingers, according to viral videos and photos from the playoff game against the Houston Astros.

Though the Astros ended up sweeping the Yankees, at least one New York fan had a clear idea who counted as the game's big loser.

"Racist piece of s---," another fan yelled, according to video.

"Remember when Trump called your wife ugly and you nominated him?" yet another fan shouted. "F--- you."

Cruz, who wore the Astros' orange colors to Yankee Stadium, accepted the jeers with a smile and waves, the videos show.

And his not-so-warm New York City welcome continued Monday.

Climate protesters heckled and shouted down Cruz as he appeared on ABC's "The View," according to video circulating online.

"Cover climate now," they chanted.

One protester then shouted, "F--- you, Ted Cruz," according to the New York Post.

Cruz tried to ignore the shouts until co-host Whoopi Goldberg interrupted the hecklers.

"We hear what you have to say, but you've got to go," she said.

One host turned to tell Cruz that they weren't "even protesting you."

"I couldn't even hear what they were protesting," he said.
