Teen, 16, Killed 2 In Upper Manhattan Triple Shooting: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A 16-year-old teenager has been arrested and charged for a triple shooting in Upper Manhattan that left two people dead last weekend, police announced.

The teen has been charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The teen's identity has been withheld due to him being under 18.

On June 16, at around 11:41 p.m., police respond to reports of a shooting near West 207 Street and 10th Avenue in Inwood.

When police got to the scene, they found a 44-year-old man who was shot once in the face, a 40-year-old man shot in the chest and a 37-year-old man shot in the leg.

The 44-year-old man — identified as Michael James —was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The 40-year-old victim — identified as Alejandro Ramirez — was transported to New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital and was later pronounced dead, police said.

The 37-year-old victim is in stable condition at NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, police said.
