Tourist Slashed While Walking On NYC Street, Suspect Still At Large

NEW YORK CITY — A 42-year-old man was slashed while he was walking on a Manhattan street this past weekend.

The incident happened in the vicinity of 237 Madison Avenue in Midtown last Saturday around 10:40 a.m., police said.

An unidentified woman swung a knife at the victim, cutting him in the right hand as he was walking by, police said.

The suspect fled north on Madison Avenue. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday evening.

The 42-year-old man was apparently a tourist visiting from Italy, according to multiple media reports.
