Trump's Potential Porn Star Hush-Money Indictment Delayed: Report
A grand jury weighing criminal charges against former President Donald Trump has been called off for the day Wednesday, reports state.

NEW YORK CITY — The unprecedented potential criminal indictment of former President Donald Trump likely won't unfold Wednesday after a Manhattan grand jury was called off for the day, according to reports.
Jurors weighing charges in the high-profile case were told not to come in that day, Business Insider reported, citing two law enforcement sources.
NBC News reported the Manhattan District Attorney's Office told the grand jury members that they should be on standby for Thursday.

A spokesperson for the district attorney's office told Patch they couldn't confirm or comment on grand jury matters.
The reported cancelation means New York City and the U.S. could have to wait longer to see if Trump faces an indictment over accusations he approved a $130,000 "hush-money" payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

No former U.S. president has ever faced criminal charges.
But the grand jury convened by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg appears close to doing so.
First, Trump was invited to testify before the grand jury, which is often a sign that decisions on indictments are near.
Then, Trump himself stoked anticipation — and dread — after he posted on his Truth Social account that an arrest was likely this week. New York City officials have been preparing for mass protests and unrest if that comes to pass.
A potential criminal case would center around the payment to Daniels, who said she had sex with Trump. She received the money shortly before the 2016 presidential election — a payment that has already caused legal trouble for the ex-president's former attorney Michael Cohen.
Cohen eventually pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign finance over the payments. He said Trump reimbursed him in installments that were falsely recorded in the Trump Organization as "legal expenses."
Trump has both denied the affair with Daniels and lambasted Bragg as a "rogue prosecutor."
