NEW YORK CITY — Add a "ride on a Citi Bike" to the things that will be more expensive in 2023.

The price for a single, non-member Citi Bike ride will increase from $3.99 to $4.49 starting Thursday, according to the bikeshare's website.

Extra-time fees for rides past 30 minutes also will rise to $0.26 a minute.

Citi Bike representatives blamed those increases — and more — on a familiar culprit.

"As we continue expanding the largest bikeshare program in North America, we’ll be raising our prices this January to account for inflation," the website states.

More than 1.4 million riders hop onto Citi Bikes each year, according to Lyft, which runs the service.

The price increases will extend to annual memberships and Day Passes on Dec. 29.

Annual memberships will increase to $205, with a $0.17 per minute extra-time fee after 45 minutes.
