What's Open And Closed In New York City On New Year's Day 2022
Venturing out with a 2021 hangover? Here's a helpful guide for what to expect of the first day of the new year.

NEW YORK CITY — New Year's Day is fast approaching as New York City residents prepare to say goodbye to yet another year dominated by the coronavirus pandemic.
Just like other years without COVID, though, New Year's Day will be a good time to sleep in and cozy up because there's not much open.
The holiday also falls on a Saturday in 2022, meaning the difference in what's closed won't be as drastic as in other years where the day falls during the workweek.
