NEW YORK — Many New Yorkers will get a long weekend to honor the nation's military service members for Veterans Day. President Donald Trump will even return to his hometown Monday for the city's 100th annual Veterans Day Parade.

Because Veterans Day is an official federal holiday — and has been since 1938 — you might need to change your routine whether you're heading to Fifth Avenue parade, out of town or just into the office like any other Monday.

Here's a look at what's open and closed around New York City for Veterans Day.
