Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Shooting Near NYC Migrant Shelter: NYPD

The 44-year-old woman suffered gunshot wounds to the face and back, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A woman was shot and killed, and two others were injured near a New York City migrant shelter early Monday morning, police said.

At 3:30 a.m., at Randall's Island, Field 71, police found a 44-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to the face and back, a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the throat, and a 31-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the back.

The 44-year-old woman was transported to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The 32-year-old man and the 31-year-old woman were also transported to Harlem Hospital and are in stable condition.

There have been no arrests, and an investigation remains ongoing.
