Woman Shot To Death, Found In Plastic Bag On NYC Street: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — a 31-year-old woman who was found dead inside a plastic bag last week had been shot to death, the city's medical examiner announced.

On July 5, police found the victim unresponsive inside a plastic bag in front of 207 East 27 Street in Kips Bay, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An investigation by the city's medical examiner discovered the 31-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and her death has been ruled a homicide.

There have been no arrests, and an investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the woman is being withheld pending family notification.
