NEW YORK CITY — A woman was struck and killed by a subway train early Tuesday morning.
The woman was struck near West 44th Street and 8th Avenue around 7 a.m., police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known at this time how the woman ended up on the tracks.

Due to the incident, C trains were temporarily suspended, but has since resumed running with delays.
